2/9/2009 – LEWIS FLOOR & HOME SHOWROOM NOW HIGHLIGHTS DREAMS WOODWORKING CUSTOM CABINETS

LEWIS FLOOR & HOME SHOWROOM NOW HIGHLIGHTS DREAMS WOODWORKING CUSTOM CABINETS Whether you are a homeowner, interior decorator, architect or contractor, finding the right cabinet maker can be a difficult and frustrating experience. You’re searching for the right size, wood species, style and design that you visualized for the room–as well as the right price. All of these objectives can be met at Lewis Floor & Home with Dreams Woodworking custom cabinets. Located in Northbrook and Chicago, Lewis Floor & Home recently added a new custom cabinetry line from Dreams Woodworking. Based out of Naperville, Dreams Woodworking builds millwork and cabinetry to customers’ specifications. Two designers and a staff of craftsmen and finishers work diligently to back up all the details. A selection of woods and styles can be seen at Lewis Floor & Home’s Northbrook showroom. Millwork and Cabinetry Designer for Dreams Woodworking and Lewis Floor & Home Tim Donnelly strives to make each customer’s vision a reality. “We design to your specifications and budget,” says Donnelly. “This allows each customer to select every detail –or a customer can give us the ‘feel’ he or she is looking for and lets us fill in the blanks.” For example, if a customer desires ten-foot tall cabinets with eight-foot doors, they can be made. “We even can fit cabinets into spaces where you’d like them to fit, but think they never can. We are not limited to cabinet design, anything that you can imagine we can build or have built,” says Donnelly. Adds President and third generation owner Steven Lewis: “When our customers who are on a limited budget make their selections, they discover it’s possible to get high-end design with mid-priced materials.” Cabinets can be made from your choice of materials including walnut, mahogany or even exotic woods. A standardized lacquer finish is used on the cabinets. However, if the homeowner wants to “go green” cabinets can be purchased with a waterborne stain finish. People with allergies or asthma may prefer the latter. Cabinets can be created that match the period or desired period of your home. “There are no limits,” Donnelly says. “Because Lewis Floor & Home also offers countertops and flooring an entire look can be created.” Lewis Floor & Home is located at 1840 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook and at 1455 W. Fullerton in Chicago.
